How is our kit different from the tent style metal framed domes you see all over the internet?

Ours kits cost less than imported tent style domes to get you started. But unlike the tent domes ours allow for future unlimited customization and standard residential building practices to insulate (with standard 3 1/2" depth insulation) sheath the exterior in any rigid or film material on the planet and have proper drawings for easy assembly and permit applications. We don't ask you for $10,000 up front and expect you to wait 4 to 6 weeks while we use your money to import a shipping container of products from over seas. At domekits we accept a $1000 non refundable deposit per kit to place your order, we build your kit and prepare it for local pick up or shipping inside the timeline identified for each kit. You don't pay the balance until you pick up your kit and shake my hand in person or the day your kit actually ships any where in Canada via our shipping partner Manitoulin Transport. Your money never leaves Canada, our kits are built with Canadian labour, from Canadian materials and I am a human being not a large international corporation lol
Does my dome require a city permit?

Our 14FT Dome kit is 160 sq ft, In Ontario this is under the square footage requirement for a permit. If your dream is an Airbnb glamping rental or you are a commercial campsite operator our dome is the best choice for maximizing ROI while operating inside the guidelines. "Temporary" dome tents which you see all over Instagram and Facebook typically are over 160 sq ft which leaves them in a grey area for utilizing them as a rental property.
Does my Dome Kit come with any plans or drawings?

Yes! All our dome kits come with comprehensive build plans and assembly instructions. We are here to support you through your dome building process!
Does my dome kit have a warrantee?

The short answer is yes. If you purchased one of our DIY Dome Kits we guarantee it to be geometrically correct and free of any defects. Once you have assembled your DIY kit the warrantee ends but we got your back if you run into problems we can help solve. If you purchased one of our DNY Kits "Do Nothing Yourself" we stand behind all our work and offer a 10 yr warrantee on materials and a lifetime warrantee on our craftsmanship.
What do you recommend for an exterior cover?

We recommend you have your domes exterior shrink wrapped with 7-10mm industrial poly (clear or white) this serves as an excellent vapour barrier for any application and is strongly recommended if you don't plan on using exterior sheathing.
